Most bath bombs can be expensive, but with this easy craft, you will save lots of money. This craft could be used as a gift to a friend or family member, but it can also be used as a treat for yourself.
-Total time: 20-30 minutes
-Recipe makes: 2-4 bath bombs (depending on size)
WHAT YOU NEED:
-Bath Bomb Molds (shaped molds with two parts)
-½ cup baking soda
-¼ cup corn starch
-¼ cup citric acid
-¼ cup Epsom salts
-1 teaspoon essential oil of your choosing
-1 teaspoon vegetable or olive oil
-1-2 teaspoon water
-1-2 drops food coloring (optional)
-Decorative add-ons like chia seeds, flower petals, sea salts, or herbs (optional)
Combine all the ingredients.
Mix dry and wet ingredients in separate bowls. If you decide to add decorations, leave them out for now. After all your ingredients are well mixed, slowly pour them into one bowl and whisk together gently so that way no ingredients spill out of the bowl.
2. Decorating the Bath Bomb.
If the decorative ingredients are to be used, now is the time to add them and make the bath bomb fancy! Grab your decorations and add them to the bottom of the bath bomb mold. The decorations could include anything small, but some recommendations would be chia seeds, rosemary leaves, rose petals, flower petals, and Himalayan sea salt. If you don’t have any add-ons, then you’re ready for the molding!
3. Filling the Molds.
Take your mixed ingredients and gently pour them into the mold. By the way, your mold can be any shape, it doesn’t have to be round.
4. Sit Back and Relax!
Now that you’ve done all the hard work, it’s time to relax. These bath bombs could be used as gifts for friends and family, or you can just keep them for yourself to enjoy.
