Yorba Linda City Council Accepting Bids for New Dog Park


Yorba Linda City is seeking bids from construction companies to start building an approved dog park located in Jean Woodward Park, in East Yorba Linda.

The location is on a half acre lot, and closest home is over 440 feet away from the park.

All though the dog park is estimated to be built in the summer of 2017, it is expected to only take about 90 days to build the park.

The council also discussed that the Yorba Linda Parks and Recreation Commission was going to “initiate public outreach for the naming of the park,” according to the council meeting’s agenda.

The Yorba Linda City Council which has been discussing the dog park since about 2008. In those 9 years, they have earned about $300,000 for the construction of the dog park.“There has been a lot of people waiting a long time for this dog park,” Councilmember Tom Lindsey stated.
