A 25-year old man was arrested Thursday January 28, 2016 for committing a series of 7-Eleven robberies in Orange County and Los Angeles County over a five-month span. The Santas Ana police took Hernan Sanchez into custody at his work, reported the Orange County Register.
“He pleaded not guilty Monday to felony second-degree robbery. Investigators received an anonymous tip tying Sanchez to the robberies after seeing media reports that circulated his photo,” repoted the Yorba Linda Star.
Sanchez is accused of robbing four 7-Elevens in Orange, Yorba Linda and Santa Ana in the time span of August to September, 2016, added the Orange County Register
Every time Sanchez walked into a 7-Eleven, he would pick up an item from the cooler then walk up to the counter. Once he got to the counter he would pull out a handgun and demanded cash from the workers. No one has gotten hurt during the robberies, but police are still investigating if he had help getting away, explained the Yorba Linda Star.
“SAPD Detectives,Santa Ana Police Department Detectives, were able to identify, locate, and arrest Hernan Sanchez at his place of employment. Detectives believe Sanchez is responsible for a series of robberies that took place at multiple 7-Eleven locations throughout Orange & Los Angeles Counties dating back to September of 2015,” added the Santa Ana Police Department.
“Sanchez has been positively identified in two Santa Ana cases. Sanchez was booked into the SAPD Jail and is being held on $100,000 bail,” stated the Santa Ana Police Department.
