Samurai Jack will return to Cartoon Network in 2016

Samurai Jack is back from the past to return to Cartoon Network after twelve years since it last aired. The original animator Genndy Tartakovsky, who also worked on other classics such as Dexter’s Lab and The original Star Wars the Clone Wars will also be returning to work on the show, according to Cartoon Network.

The show originally ended in 2004 and fans were very vocal about getting it back for a proper ending. Tartakovsky has been persistent to bring back the  show for a number of years. It was finally greenlit and Samurai Jack will premiere in 2016 on the Toonami block on Adult Swim, according to Flavorwire.
