“After being symbolized as the “Mockingjay”, Katniss Everdeen and District 13 engage in an all-out revolution against the autocratic Capitol.” stated IMDb about Mockingjay Part 2. The long loved Hunger Games series is finally coming to an end.

After Mockingjay part 1, the audience was left on a cliffhanger after Peeta was hijacked by the Capitol. In part 2 Katniss will struggle for him to realize who she really is and remember what really happened instead of the distorted memories the Capitol brainwashed him to believe.

“It begins with the moment she volunteered to replace her in the Games, and leads up to a brief snippet of the two dancing at Finnick’s wedding to his beloved Annie in District 13 in the upcoming film.” reported Cinema Blend about Katniss’s relationship with Prim in a Mockingjay Part 2 trailer.  In the Mockingjay book, Prim was bombed, which was emotional for Katniss since Prim was the reason she fought but it hasn’t been confirmed that this will be in the movie according to Cinema Blend.

Mockingjay will be rated PG-13  “for intense sequences of violence and action, and some thematic material” reported

Mockingjay Part 2’s cast will be the same as part 1. Jennifer Lawrence will be starring as Katniss Everdeen. Other actors of the cast are Willow Shields as Primrose Everdeen, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abbernathy, Elizabeth Banks as Effie, Julianne Moore as President Alma Coin, and Jenna Malone as Johanna Mason.

Mockingjay Part 2 will mainly focus on defeating President Snow (Donald Sutherland) after he forced Katniss to partake in “The Hunger Games” in the first two movies according to Entertainment Weekly.

The Hunger Games fans are sad to see this top grossing movie series end.“I’m upset that the Hunger Games Series is over.” stated Ryan Mesa, BYMS seventh grader and Hunger Games fan.
