Olivia earned a spot in the Guinness World Records by completing 42 consecutive handless cartwheels – known as aerials – during a demonstration set for 2 p.m., Saturday, at Vibe gymnastics, stated Ocregister.com.

“I can’t wait to try to break the record,” stated  the 9-year-old Orange resident, who attends 4th grade at Anaheim Hills Elementary School, said recordse

“When I do my aerials, I try to think about doing the right technique and everything my coach taught me,” Olivia said. “ I am just very excited.”

Olivia started training six months ago with her coach, Sarah Eshom, to build endurance and perfect her technique for the flips , which now add up to around 200 every practice. Said nbclosangeles.com

“ We have worked on different techniques,” Eshom said, and once we found the technique that best fit her we started building up the numbers. We went from 10 to 20 to 30 and now she is doing 40 consecutive aerials.”

Even though she won’t complete that many aerials today, Olivia wants to cement her place in history. That task shouldn’t be too difficult. Explained Ocregister.com

“I know she’ll achieve this,” Eshom said. “She’s the type of girl who puts her mind to doing something and doesn’t stop until she gets it.”

Olivia never formally trained as a gymnast, but learned to incorporate the aerials routines as a competitive dancer. Reported Ocregister.com.

“We’re super excited because she’s super-driven,” Aguilar said. “It’s just so inspirational to watch her complete these aerials, and knowing she’s going to break that record.”
