Yorba Linda High School Principal Dave Flynn believes, with over 50 clubs on campus, YLHS offers energy and enthusiasm that connects students to academics, fine and performing arts, academic competitions co-curricular programs.
Incoming 8th graders should “Get Connected” to school class, activities, and programs. “Take advantage of all that YLHS has to offer in making your high school years the best they can be,” stated Principal Flynn. “As a Mustang…you can make new friends and memories that will last a life time…if you step up and say ‘I want to be part of that.
“The standard of performance established by the staff since we opened our doors in 2009 earned YLHS the recognition as a California Distinguished in 2013 and one of the top high schools in Orange County by the O C Register and U S News and World Report Top High Schools in the Nation,” Principal Flynn explained.
“I was offered the position as principal after having the opportunities to be a teacher, counselor, activities director and assistant principal in the Placentia Yorba Linda School District. All of my positions gave me the chance to work with more students and a wider variety of staff members and community members to build a strong and positive educational environment,” stated Principal Flynn.
“It was a once in a life time opportunity to join with a terrific District team to plan and open Yorba Linda High School,” stated Principal Flynn.
Principal Flynn wanted to share the quote, “To provide an environment for success while maintaining the standards to honor that success.” “This is always been my goal for myself and everyone I work with…..students…staff…..and…community,” Principal Flynn explained.
