Tornados in South LA

A small tornado touched down in southern LA that caused resident of the area Jamie Mena to say, “I’ve never seen anything like it, it was crazy,” she stated, “I am shaken up,” according to abc7.com.
The tornado was an EFO (zero) twister which is the weakest type of tornado, but it still scattered debris and bent trees, reported abc7.com. Within 3 seconds the EFO tornado has wind speeds from 65 to 85 mph, according to fox4kc.com. The tornado want though a 10 block span in Southern LA ending around the area of 57th and Figueroa streets, according to ktla.com. No injuries were reported, but the tornado caused some damage to the building and the areas around it, reported ktla.com. “I watched as it took my roof and it just, it sent the roof of our building just over to the next street,” said Chris McCall. “It picked the roof up like it was a piece of paper,” according to the website.
The tornado in Los Angeles was not the only tornado in Southern California, explained latimes.com. Off the coast of Crystal Cove Beach in Newport Beach another tornado touched down. This waterspout tornado was probability the same band of storm cells as the one that touched down in LA, reported latimes.com and ktla.com.
