Amusement Park Review: Disneyland, Knott, Universal Studios

Around the holidays, amusement parks like Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, and Universal Studios enjoy spreading spirit to their visitors by hosting events or themes in the park.

From November 13 through January 6, the entire Disneyland resort transforms into a magnificent winter wonderland. Take on the spooky, festive Haunted Mansion with Jack the Skeleton or ride the Jingle Cruise to see all the exotic animals ready for the holidays. For the entire family, watch the Christmas Fantasy Parade bring the magic of the season down main street in this musical extravaganza. With snow-capped turrets, sparkling icicles, and over 80,000 shimmering LED lights, Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle is definetly a site to see.

Knott’s Merry Farm takes on a completely different role transitioning from its recent Knotts Scary Farm. Every night during Merry Farm, when the sun sets on the Farm, the buildings and paths in Ghost Town’s Main Street are filled with glow and snow! Thousands of sparkling lights dance to the beat of “Let It Snow” while snow gently falls in this spectacular one-of-a-kind moment. Santa Clause comes to breakfast here at Knotts and also hosts a Winterfest Buffet.

New this year, Snoopy, the Peanuts, and a cast of world class ice skaters perform in a breath taking new ice show, Merry Christmas, Snoopy! in the 2,100 seat Charles M. Schulz Theatre. In this exciting new show filled with whimsy and spectacular skating, Snoopy enjoys all of the best parts of the season, including trimming the Christmas tree, awaiting Santa’s arrival, and attending the festive Christmas Ball.

Finally, Universal Studio’s Grinchmas starts Dec. 6- Jan. 3. Enjoy photo ops with the Grinch and his dog Max, story time with Cindy-Lou Who, cookie and ornament decoration in the Universal Plaza, And standing underneath the famous 60 ft. Grinchmas tree! In addition, join the Whos’as they sing and dance threw Who Ville during the Studio Tour Backlot Grinchmas Who-bilation.
