“This car is nuts. It’s like taking off from a carrier deck. It’s just bananas,” stated the CEO of Tesla Motors Inc..  Elon Musk. He also stated, “It is like a personal rollercoaster,” according to valuewalk.com.

The Tesla D was revealed on October 9, 2014 at the Hawthorn airport in Los Angeles, CA. Elon Musk put an end to the mystery of the D in the new Tesla model which stands for “dual,” as in the motor, according to cnn.com

“The Tesla D can accelerate 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and can reach speeds of about 155 mph.” This is also one of the fastest sedans that have ever been produced by any manufacture. It is also on all-wheel drive which makes the car go significantly faster than any other Tesla that they have made, according to valuewalk.com

The D version with “1G of force, creating an almost roller coaster like feel to the car,” according to thestreet.com,  has a price range of $120,000 to $170,000.

The designers behind the new model of the Tesla have made even more safety features to protect whoever is in it. The Tesla will include built in radar that will enable the driver to see through snow, fog and rain, according to valuewalk.com. The Tesla will also include a camera that is capable to locate traffic lights, pedestrians and stop signs. Another interesting safety feature is the 360 degree ultrasonic sonar system that will help the driver cause less accidents and collisions, added the website.

The feature “that trumps them all ” though is the auto-pilot. Tesla decided to make the Tesla even more complicated than it needed to be by adding  an auto-pilot feature that will use the cameras and the ultrasonic sonar to navigate to a certain destination, according to endgadget.com.
