Jetpack America: The world’s first recreation jetpack named the Jetlev R200 is a water-propelled jetpack that is located in Newport Beach. You will fly 30 feet above the air for about 20-30 minutes depending on your package amount thanks to the flight instructors. Vans U.S. Open of Surfing: From July 26th through August 3rd, you can visit the surf opening at the Huntington Beach Pier. American surfers compete in Orange County and have a chance to make it to the World Tour. This free activity runs all day and more information can be found at www.vansusopenofsurfing.com.

 

San Clemente Ocean Festival: July 19th to the 20th is the ocean festival that holds rubber duck races, a fishing derby, sand sculpting competitions, and surfing contests. Also, there are kid activities for younger children. You can go to www.oceanfestival.org.

 

Newport Landing Whale Watching: Newport Landing in Newport Beach has boats that go in to the Pacific Ocean to look for whales. This event is open year round and extra information can be found at www.newportwhales.com.

 

Balboa Water Sports: The Balboa Fun Zone in Newport Beach now holds water sports such as jet skis since 2011. You can rent these water sports all year long by visiting http://www.visittheoc.com/listings/Balboa-Water-Sports/750/.
