Safety is a top priority for Yorba Linda schools and the city itself www.ocsd.com reported. The Yorba Linda Orange County Sheriff Substation  was established on January 5, 2013 with BYMS’ own Robert (Bob) Wren in charge.

“I enjoy my job and working in my home town is part of that. There are a lot of good people in this town and I take pride in doing my best,” said Lt. Wren about his job in Yorba Linda. Wren attended BYMS after he moving from New Jersey. His fondest memory is of hanging out with his friends.

School safety has been a big topic in Southern California schools and in Yorba Linda schools. “We have provided active shooter training for various schools in the district,” said Lt. Wren, “Our school resource officer is very active and our deputies spend time in and around all of the campuses in the district.” By adding these improvements, Yorba Linda is helping secure the schools from possible gunman threats.

“For the past two years I have been busier than I have ever been before.” Lieutenant Wren said he starts the day by answering emails and completing reports. Those tasks eventually lead him to phone calls and follow up on information related to the emails. Wren meets with people throughout the day and deals with issues as well. He also responds to significant calls for service.

“I really dislike criminals,” said Wren. “Being able to make a living by putting bad people in jail was appealing to me.” Lieutenant Wren was chosen the Lieutenant for Yorba Linda on January 5, 2013 which has lead Yorba Linda

“It is a privilege to serve the community of Yorba Linda and to continue to provide exceptional law enforcement services to the residents of this great city,” said Lt. Wren.
