Top 10 Christmas Movies

The top ten Christmas movies are posted on  www.amc.com.  The poll for their top ten Christmas movies of 2013 is useful for finding the perfect movie. These movies include animated, humor, old, new, and many other genres of movies.

10). How The Grinch Stole Christmas (1966) – This animated movie is 21 minutes long with Boris Karloff as the Grinch and the narrator. The Grinch is bitter and dislikes everything about Christmas. The Grinch decides to remove all the Christmas decorations and cheer at the nearby village.

9). A Christmas Story (1983) – Ralphie, a young boy growing up in the 1940s wants a Red Rider BB gun. But with everybody including his teacher, Santa, and his parents, telling him he’ll shoot his eye out he is worried he might not receive his dream gift.

8). Miracle on 34th Street (1947) – At the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the actor playing Santa turns out to be drunk persuades another man to become Santa. The new Santa turns out to be a hit. The main character Doris has her friend, Fred Gaily reassure the old man is the actual Santa. It will take a miracle for this case to win.

 

7). Elf (2003) – After Buddy the Elf turns the elf community in to a diaster due to his tall size, he is sent to New York City to find his true identity and his father. It turns out his father is on the naughty list and didn’t even now he was born. Meanwhile, Buddy brings his Christmas cheer to everyone he meets in New York.

 6). Frosty the Snowman (1969) – A silk tophat dropped by a magician makes a snowman come alive. Frosty befriends a young girl and together they head to the North Pole because they know that Frost will melt in the spring. Little do they know that the magician is following them wanting his hat back.

 5). Home Alone (1990) – The McCallister family is preparing to have a Christmas vacation in Paris, France. The youngest son, Kevin, got in to a short fight with his older brother and the family leaves without Kevin. He discovers two burglars are trying to rob his house on Christmas Eve and it is up to Kevin to stop them.

 4). It’s A Wonderful Life (1946) – An angel helps a compassionate and frustrated businessman George Bailey, by showing what his life would be if he never existed. He thinks that his family will be better off without him and Clarence comes to Earth to help.

 3). National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989) – The Griswolds are preparing for their family Christmas celebration but things do not run smoothly. The husband, Clark, prepares for the holidays with his obnoxious family and other distractions but he knows his Christmas bonus is due soon.

 2). Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964) – Sam the snowman tells the story of a young red-nosed reindeer who teams up with a elf named Hermey and Yukon Cornelius. They run in to the Abominable Snowman and find the island of misfit toys. Rudolph tries to get Santa’s help but his sleigh broke down. Then Santa gets and idea to help Rudolph using his bright red nose.

 1). A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) – Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming thoughts of the Christmas season; so Lucy suggests that he directs the school’s Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown takes the task and it proves to be a harder than it looks.
