By selecting only the finest premium loose leaf teas and botanicals to be sold in Teavana mall stores, Teavana has built a strong reputation among tea enthusiasts and introduced casual tea drinkers to new experiences in tea,” said Cliff Burrows, Starbucks group president.  From the Starbucks website (http://news.starbucks.com/news/teavana-fine-teas-tea-bar-debuts-in-new-york-citys-upper-east-side.)  Starbucks coming out on September 24, 2013 is a new tea bar.  The new tea bar is using Teavana tea.

With Starbucks new tea bar shops you can’t go into it thinking coffee.  At the tea bar you can only buy tea.   “It’s much more zen-like than anything you’ll find in a Starbucks store,” said Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz in a phone interview with USA Today.  The tea bar is a combine of fine tea, a tea bar, and a café.  Some tea will even be carbonated according to ABC News.

The first tea bar opening was September 24, 2013 in Lululemon and Dean and DeLuca Manhattan NY according to USA Today.  Also a second store will open up in Seattle around thanksgiving.

Starbucks new tea bar won’t serve and coffee or Starbucks’ products.  It will all be Teavana.  There are Teavana stores but mostly are in malls.  The café style shop will also be severing food such as pastries, breakfast items, delicious salads, flat breads, small plates, macaroons, shortbreads, and other desserts that complement tea flavors.  According to the Starbucks website.
