          Halloween is coming around the corner! These fun and  creative treats and snacks will help you throw one exciting Halloween party. All of them are simple, easy to make, and full of Halloween Spirit.

This frightening snack is loved by kids of all ages!

Ingredients needed:

English muffins

Pizza sauce

Black olives

Red or green pepper

Cheese sticks or slices

How to Make It:

1.)   Heat the oven to 350º F. For each mummy, spread a tablespoon of pizza sauce onto half of an English muffin (toast it first, if you like).

2.)   Set olive slices in place for eyes and add round slices of green onion or bits of red or green pepper for pupils.

3.)   Lay strips of cheese across the muffin for the mummy’s wrappings.

4.)   Bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

5.)   Serve, eat, and enjoy!

 

Monster Jaws-

 

This healthy snack will get kids to want to eat their fruit!

Ingredients needed:

Apples

Slivered almonds

(Optional): pretzel rods, peanut butter, and candy eyes

How to Make It:

1.)   Cut the apples in quarter slices and take a wedge out of the center of each quarter slice.

2.)   Dunk them in water with a little lemon juice to keep them from browning.

3.)   Stick the slivered almonds in the mouth of the monsters (optional toasting of the almonds for color and taste)

4.)   For extra presentation, cut pretzel rods into one inch piece and stick candy eyes on the tip of them with peanut butter

5.)   Stick them on the top of the apple, and enjoy!

Ingredients Needed:

1 package (11oz.) of refrigerated soft breadsticks

¼ cup of graded parmesan cheese

½ cup of ranch dressing

1tablespoon of hot pepper

How to Make It:

1.) Heat oven to 375ºF

2.) Separate breadsticks; cut each crosswise in half. (Working with one piece at a time), stretch each to 5-inch length; tie knot at each end. Roll in cheese to evenly coat each side.

3.) Place them (about 2 inches apart), on a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray.

4.) Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until they’re golden brown. Meanwhile, start mixing the ranch and hot pepper sauce.

5.) Cool the breadsticks slightly. Serve with dressing mixture.

6.) Serve and enjoy!

Ingredients Needed:

1 cup of butter, softened

1 cup of confectioners’ sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon almond extract

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 and 2/3 cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

¾ cup of whole almonds

1 (.75 ounce) tube red decorating gel

How to Make It:

1.) Combine the butter, sugar, egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Beat together with an electric mixer; gradually add the flour, baking powder, and salt, continually beating; refrigerate 20 to 30 minutes.

2.) Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease baking sheets.

3.) Remove dough from refrigerator in small amounts. Scoop 1 heaping teaspoon at a time onto a piece of waxed paper. Use the waxed paper to roll the dough into a thin finger-shaped cookie. Press one almond into one end of each cookie to give the appearance of a long fingernail. Squeeze cookie near the tip and again near the center of each to give the impression of knuckles. You can also cut into the dough with a sharp knife at the same points to help give a more finger-like appearance. Arrange the shaped cookies on the baking sheets.

4.) Bake in the preheated oven until the cookies are slightly golden in color, 20 to 25 minutes.

5.) Remove the almond from the end of each cookie; squeeze a small amount of red decorating gel into the cavity; replace the almond to cause the gel to ooze out around the tip of the cookie.

6.) Serve and enjoy!
