Like our staff my experience as reporter and editor began in middle school, and continued through high school, and into university. In my junior year of high school I was one of 30 student reporters selected to attend the California Scholastic Press Association's Journalism Training Program at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. My experience working intensely with reporters from the OC Register, The Los Angeles Times, and other publications is the foundation for instruction I am able to give my students today.
It is my hope that as my reporters and editors move on to high school and beyond they will carry with them the skills they have learned here in our newsroom. It is also my hope that as a reader you will visit us often, comment on our articles and be informed and entertained by what we publish.
Sincerely,
Christine L. Perez
