Los Angeles Football Club Joins Major League Soccer in 2018.

Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) will join Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2018 and will play in the western conference. LAFC home games will be played in their Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. The team will become the the third franchise based in the Los Angeles area, that will compete in the league after the dissolution of Chivas USA, according to Wikipedia.

On October 30, 2014, Major League Soccer awarded a new expansion team to Los Angeles, filling the vacancy in the the market created by the dissolution of Chivas USA, ESPN.

On September 15, 2015, the club announced that Los Angeles Football Club will be the new name of the club. The club’s colors and logo were unveiled on January 7, 2016 at Union Station. The club’s primary colors are black and gold with red and grey used as accent colors, google images.

The team is most likely to debut in early February, with their first game expected to be at their stadium.
