Players such as Desean Jackson and Mike Evans (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and many more NFL players kneeled during the national anthem due to Donald Trump’s statement about kneeling during the national anthem. Many players from “America’s Team” ,the Dallas Cowboys, took a knee, including owner Jerry Jones, according to si.com.

On Friday night in Alabama, Donald Trump said if an NFL owner saw one his players kneeling in protest during the national anthem he should make that son of a b**** leave the field. The NFL responded Sunday by showing solidarity,” according to sbnation.com.

Former 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, started kneeling in August of 2016, he stated “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder,” according to washingtonpost.com.
Almost all NFL teams had some players who took a knee during the National Anthem, but some teams had all players standing and having their arms locked with each other, according to businessinsider.com.
