Esperanza High School’s Men’s Basketball Wins State Finals
Esperanza’s men basketball long playoff road is over. They won state finals against Moreau Catholic, 72-65, on Saturday, March 25th.
EHS coach Mark Hill noted a number of highlights from the game, in an interview with the Matador Messenger “Highlights obviously were Harrick’s threes, Geiger’s big block in the 4th against Kyree Walker and the jubilation and hugs as the game ended,” He added, “Kezie Okpala had 22 points and 12 rebounds, Brendan Harrick had 25 points which included hitting 2 huge 3’s in the 4th quarter and Garrett Heiger had 10 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.”
“I feel great for our community, our school and most importantly, these players,” Coach Hill stated.
