Tom Brady’s Missing Super Bowl 51 Jersey Valued at $500,000
The Houston Police Department has valued Tom Brady’s missing jersey from Super Bowl 51 at $500,000, according to TMZ.com.
“I put it in the bag, and I came out and it wasn’t there anymore. It’s unfortunate because that’s a nice piece of memorabilia,” Brady said the day after the game. “If it shows up on eBay somewhere, someone let me know so I can track that down,” reported espn.com.
The crime is being considered a first-degree felony. Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick also put the famed Texas Rangers on the case, according to usmagazine.com.
“In Texas, we place a very high value on hospitality and football. Tom Brady’s jersey has great historical value and is already being called ‘the most valuable NFL collectible ever.’ It will likely go into the Hall of Fame one day,” Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said, according to usmagazine.com.
The jersey is an important part of NFL lore. Brady lead the Patriots to the largest comeback in Super Bowl history and win the game in the first overtime in Super Bowl history, and became the first NFL quarterback to win five titles, stated bleacherreport.com.

The worst part about the super bowl was that his jersey was stolen. I think who ever did this should just give it back and take the charge of first-degree felony.
