YLHS Women’s Softball “Expects to Have Two Very Competitive Teams”

 “We have a great group of girls this year,”stated Sharon Farrell, YLHS Varsity softball coach. “They have come together and are working hard. We expect to have 2 very competitive teams.”

Yorba Linda High School’s Softball team has been a Division 1 team for all 8 years that the school has been open.

“We have always finished in the top 3 in our league. We tied for as the Crestview champions and came in 2nd in the Michelle Carew Tournament (one of the most prestigious tournaments around),” stated Farrell.

Some of the team’s goals this season are to compete to win the league, play to their ability, play as a team,  have each other’s backs, play confident, and especially have fun.

YLHS Softball joined the Crestview League for the 2015 Season. YLHS has been a CIF Playoff participant in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 according to ylhssoftball.com.

Some 2017 YLHS seniors are Ashlyn Monroe who committed to Portland State, Nicole Martinez who committed to Pacific University (Oregon), Kindy Favata who committed to La Sierra, and Sierra Bauererle who will be attending Boise State, according to ylhssoftball.com.
