Steph Curry Chooses to skip the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympics.

Stephen Curry, current point guard for the Golden State Warriors,  announced on June 6th that he will not be participating in the 2016 Olympics because of the injuries of the past 2 seasons.

“After some time alone and thought and several discussions with my family, I have decided that it is permanent that I will not be joining the USA basketball team roster,”Curry stated according to CNN.

“Missed four games in the regular season, sprained his knee in the Western Conference Semifinals, and had several injuries in both appearances in the NBA Finals,” according to ESPN.

“However, it is amazing to represent your country and wear the letters ‘USA’ on your chest, but I think it is more important that I focus on my body and get ready for the 2016-2017 NBA season,” Curry stated according to ESPN.
