The Colorado Rockies shortstop, Trevor Story, has made history while being a rookie.According to, Trevor has started the season off with 9 hits, 7 home runs and 12 RBI’s. He has a batting average of .290 after having 31 at bats.

“There are many reasons to be optimistic that Story can continue to give the Rockies tremendous value at the plate. For starters, he is hitting a variety of pitches. Two of his home runs have come off four-seam fastballs, two on sliders and one each off a sinker, change-up and curveball,” reported

In Trevor Story’s first 4 games of the season he hit 6 homeruns in the 3 game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. In his sixth game of the year, he set a record for most homeruns by getting seven homeruns. ”Story, who averaged 14 home runs in his five minor league seasons, also entered Tuesday with 12 RBIs. His torrid start had put him on pace for 189 home runs and 324 RBIs this season,” reported

Contrary to having a great start to the season Trevor Story couldn’t uphold his legendary beginning as the Giants held him hitless on Tuesdays game. “Samardzija acknowledged Story’s great start but said he was also worried about Rockies outfielders Carlos Gonzalez and Gerardo Parra,” reported “Those big power lefties,” said Samardzija, a right-hander. “We respect him as a player and we’re going to keep pitching to him tough because he’s proven what he can do.”

Cooperstown has taken Trevor Story’s baseball helmet and his gloves he used while achieving this. Though they did not take his baseball bat though. “They asked for the bat,” responded the Colorado’s Rockies Shortstop. “I couldn’t give up the bat,” reported
