Corey Perry’s Hat Trick Allows Ducks to Move on to Their Eighth Straight Win

On Sunday, February 28th Corey Perry got his ninth career hat trick as the Ducks blew past the Kings in a 4-2 win to it make their eighth straight win. It is hard to believe that on January 2nd, the Ducks trailed the Kings by 15 points but since then, the Ducks have gone 19-4-1 and the Kings have gone 12-10-2, wrote USAToday.com.

The Kings have a game in hand on Anaheim, with 21 games remaining on their schedule, including two more showdowns with the Ducks, wrote USAToday.com.

David Perron had one of the three power-play goals for Anaheim on an assist from Corey Perry. John Gibson also helped with this eighth straight win, by saving 27 goals. The Ducks have won their last nine games against division opponents. For the Kings, Alec Martinez and Tanner Pearson scored for Los Angeles and Jonathan Quick stopped 25 shots, wrote the OCRegister.
