The Cal State Fullerton Women’s Soccer Team finished their season ranked #22 in the nation with a 16-3-2 record, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Big West conference after winning the first round.
Durring the season, the Titans total shots taken is 46 over all with average per-game 13.9 shots under the coaching of Coach Demian Brown, the head coach of Cal State Fullerton Women’s Soccer Program.
“We feel really good about the season but like all competitors we are not satisfied. We are looking forward to the upcoming spring season so that we can begin working on advancing further next fall,” stated Coach Brown.
Coach Demian Brown, in an interview with the Matador Messenger, explained the team’s lineup and choice of team captains. “Our starting lineup is based on the players who perform the best at their given position. Typically our starting line is made up of upperclassmen but freshman’s do earn starting spots. We have two captains and they have chosen due to their leadership and communication skills as well as their performance on the field,” stated Coach Brown.
The team’s most recent game was on November 13, 2015 against the USC Trojans in NCAA Tournament First Round. This is a heartfelt victory for Fullerton fans as they will be moving on to the next round to face an unknown team.
