Michigan State defeats Michigan on a fumble on the Final Play


As the clock ticks down to it’s final seconds, the Michigan Wolverines are ready to punt to the Michigan State Spartans, reported NCAA.com

If this Spartans couldn’t run a touchdown on the punt, they lose 23-20, wrote Sports Illustrated. A bad snap led to a fumble, which led to a touchdown by Watts-Jackson. The game clock read 0:00 and the score was 27-23, Michigan State had pulled it off, reported espn.go.com. That’s why football is loved so much in America,” Michigan State coach, Mark Dantonio said. “It’s because things like this happen. Every now and then, they happen.”

Watts-Jackson could only take it in for a few moments, as his team piled onto him, he dislocated a hip in the rucus. He was later carried off of the field and taken to a hospital. The hip will take months to heal, reported freep.com.

In other injuries and reports of the game, a fan had a heart attack at the play and after the game University of Michigan Police reported several small fires burning on the campus. No serious damage or injuries were reported, wrote espn.go.com.

“You go from 10 seconds, a guy punting the ball, you’re thinking OK this is done,” Dantonio said. “And then all of a sudden, life gets flipped upside down.”
