The Jackie Robinson West Little League team got caught expanding the boundaries of the program, according to espn.com.

“This is a heartbreaking decision,” Stephen D. Keener, the Little League International president and CEO, said in a statement. The title was given to the Mountain Ridge Little League from Las Vegas Nevada, according to nyppost.com.

The organization reached out to players out of the boundary lines that they had to follow. A president of a rival Little League filed a complaint that multiple players lived outside the boundary lines, according to deadspin.com.

Jackie Robinson Little League drew a lot of attention from fans through the tournament when they defeated the Las Vegas team 7-5, but then fell to the Seoul, South Korea, according to chicagotribune.com.
