MLB Supports Jason Motte Foundation to “Strike-Out” Cancer
“We may go up there and strike each other out or hit homers off each other, but what it really comes down to is that there is a bigger cause that guys can come together for,” Jason Motte said. “This means a lot to a lot of people,” according to mlb.com.
Jason Motte, Relief pitcher for the Saint Louis Cardinals, started a foundation to help “strikeout” cancer. His foundation was called the Jason Motte Foundation, according to foxsports.com. Motte started his foundation in fall of 2010 when Jason and Caitlin Motte were wondering how they could help. At first they just had small tasks, but that led to the “question what else can we do?” This question led them to founding the Jason Motte Foundation, according to jasonmottefoundation.org.
The Jason Motte Foundation has received huge support in Major League Baseball. Thirty teams each have a representative of the organization, reported playertrust.org.

That’s so cool that there is at least 1 person from each team supporting the foundation.
