“Yeah it’s been fun so far. I try never to get too excited, but I’m always excited. Getting [Tyson] Chandler, getting the Chandler brothers is going to be a big step forward for us,” shared Mark Cuban (owner of the Dallas Mavericks) about the upcoming 2014-2015 season, according to au.ibtimes.com and nytimes.com.
“I think we’ve gotten younger, I think we’ve got a team that is very flexible; we’ll be able to do a lot of different things. We’ve got a high basketball IQ. I’m really excited about it,” stated Cuban, reported au.ibtimes.com.
The NBA’s new season started on October 28, as the Orlando Magic play the New Orleans Pelicans, and the San Antonio Spurs play the Dallas Mavericks, according to espn.go.com.
All teams are trying to prepare their teams for the new seasons, some with some big acquisitions during the offseason. The Cleveland Cavilers have LeBron James back who left the Cavaliers in the summer of 2010 for the “south beach” to play for the Miami Heat, reported foxsports.com.
The Cavaliers also have newly acquired Kevin Love. The Dallas Mavericks are excited about getting Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton, stated au.ibtimes.com. The Minnesota Timberwolves made a big trade sending away Kevin Love for rookie prospect Andrew Wiggins, reported espn.go.com.
The teams are hoping that these players will add toward their playoff chances and hopefully bring them a championship trophy.
