Angel Di Maria a  26-year-old Argentinian left winger, has moved to Manchester United from European champions’ Real Madrid, signing a  £60 million contract. Di Maria is convinced he made the right career move leaving the Spanish club according to dailymail.com.

“Leaving a club like Real and coming to as big a club as Manchester United makes you grow as a player and helps you progress in your career. It was a very important moment and I’m really happy here,” stated Di Maria.

The Argentinian has won the 2014 Champions League with real Madrid and was named “Man of the Match” after the final triumph over local rivals Atletico, has made him hugely popular with the Bernabeu faithful reported manutd.com.

Before all this, the left- footed star made his debut for Rosario Central in his homeland at the age of 17, stated manutd.com. He spent only two seasons with his first club before earning a move to Europe and Benfica.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Spain and there were a lot of clubs interested in me, but United is the only club that I would have left Real Madrid for,”  Angel Di Maria commented.

Manchester United overpaid by €30 million to land Angel Di Maria, according to the Football Observatory. And Di Maria’s switch to Old Trafford is seen as the biggest mistake, with the 26 year-old in fact valued at €45 million (£36 million).

Di Maria has started to push out Juan Mata out of the Manchester United team as quickly as he is erased from the club’s record books following the signing of Angel di Maria, reported by telegraph.co.uk. The dilemma facing United manager Louis Van Gaal is how to accommodate all of his attacking talents in one team.
