Italian explorer, age 36, Alex Bellini will live in a hamster ball like orb on top of a melting iceberg in Iceland for a study Smithsonian Magazine reported.

Bellini’s pod will be decked out with solar panels, wifi, a foldable bed and a stationary exercise bicycle. The biggest challenges may be the extended periods of solitude he will face—but he plans to open his home to bloggers, writers and environmentalists to accompany him for short stints Smithsonian Magazine stated.

Bellini calls his project, “Adrift” the  Daily Mail reported. The feat will begin in November 2016. He is not new to adventures at this scale. He has ran more than 14,000 miles, rowed more than 21,000 miles, and has spent 560 days in isolation. He as also rowed the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans. He says that he “favours challenges where there is a perceived lack of control.”
