“iOS 8 is the biggest iOS release ever- for developers and everyone else,”according to Apple.

Apple reports that they are letting developers take advantage of new features on your phone, like Touch ID and iCloud, Touch ID is only compatible on iPhone 6/6+ and iPhone 5s. Health is another application being added to our iPhones. With this, user are able to track your heart rate and other great features.

Apple is only allowing compatibility with iPhone 4S or newer and iPad 2 or newer according to Tech Radar. It is also compatible with iPad mini’s, iPad mini 2 and iPod touch 5th generation.

Family Sharing is also added to our phones. This means that you can co-mingle with up to six people, all of the users can share their music, movies, apps, books, tv shows, and games, according to

Apple is adding a new app called the Health app. Similar to the passport on your iPhone, the health app collects all of the users health and fitness information in one app. Also, there will be other sections like fitness, nutrition, sleep, medication, and you can create an emergency card, according to

iOS 8 was released at 1 pm Eastern Time and 10 am Pacific time. As Apple says, it is the “The Biggest Release ever”.
