Former UFC Women’s bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey, reportedly signed with WWE the night of January 28, 2018, stated ESPN.com.

Rousey was signed with UFC from 2012-2018 and held the main woman’s title for three years. After her first loss to Holly Holm, she was medically suspended for 105 days due to a high kick to her temple which knocked her out, explained UFC.com.

Rousey made her return on December 30, 2016 to face Amanda Nunes. Rousey was KO’d in 48 seconds of the first round. Again Rousey left UFC, but this time for good, reported UFC.com.

Throughout 2017, Rousey made numerous appearances with WWE whether it was in the crowd or in the ring with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. During 2017, UFC offered Rousey a contract for the next 3 years, Rousey declined. Late December of 2017, fans of the WWE were making rumors that Rousey was going to sign with WWE, stated ESPN.com

January 28, 2018, morning of the Royal Rumble, WWE reported that Rousey signed with WWE and will debut at the pay per view Elimination Chamber or Wrestlemania. For the first time ever there would be a 30 man Women’s Royal Rumble match. After WWE superstar Asuka won the match, Rousey debuted to congratulate Asuka, reported ESPN.com

Rousey is set to sign with the Monday Night Raw brand during the Elimination Chamber pay per view, according to WWE.com.
