Hurricanes with record breaking rainfall, earthquakes measuring 6.0 and above, and now a “glowing orb” has been spotted in the Siberian sky.  This mysterious orb was first seen on October 16th in Northern Russia on October 16th.

“At first, I was taken aback for a few minutes, not understanding what was happening,” recalled Siberian Times photographer, Sergey Anisimov.

After seeing this bright orb, some witnesses started coming up with their theories. Some of the witnesses feared that it was the end of the world, and some people had feared that it might’ve even been a sign of an alien invasion.

“The glowing ball rose from behind the trees and moved in my direction. My first thought was about the most powerful searchlight, but the speed of changing everything around changed the idea of what was happening,” explained Anisimov, reported MNN.

Although many people had theories about an alien invasion, some people made theories about a rip in the spacetime continuum, or about wormholes to another dimension, according to MNN.

It turns out that none of these theories were correct. The truth is, the glowing light had just been a byproduct of Russian missile tests at the same region and time, stated sciencealert.

According to an update from the Russian defence ministry, the tests involved the firing of a Topol intercontinental ballistic missile from Plesetsk towards the Kura test range in Kamchatka, along with three drills involving ballistic missiles fired from two nuclear submarines, added

“In particular, the rocket exhaust expands in a big bubble tens to hundreds of miles across, and if the sunlight catches it just right, that bubble will be visible.” said Jonathan McDowell, according to National Geographic.
