Kim Jong Un was seen in pictures on Monday, October 13, with many of his officials and was walking with a cane, reported cnn.com. “He was smiling and didn’t appear, in the photos at least, to be in pain,” the website continued.
Kim Jong Un also visited a newly built housing development and toured the grounds reported nbcnews.com.
Before reappearing , the Korean leader was last seen 37 days ago at a concert with his wife. According to cnn.com, Kim Jung Un was limping.
Kim Jung Un also missed the 69th anniversary Workers Party. This party is North Korea’s political party, and is considered one of the country’s most crucial institutions alongside the military.
Rumors circulated about what had happened to Kim Jung Un during his disappearance. These opinions included Kim Jung Un suffering from gout, diabetes, or a broken ankle. Other reports stated Jong Un was seized out of power by a coup, according to news.sky.com.
“He ordered all the generals to take part in drills and he took part too. They were crawling and running and rolling around, and he pulled a tendon,” the source said on condition of anonymity. “He injured his ankle and knee around late August or early September while drilling because he is overweight,” reported news.sky.com
