Matt Williams is a Water Polo Coach for East Aquatics at Esperanza High School. He started his coaching career in early 2011, starting with 3 active players, because he had a good time playing in high school at Esperanza, and, “give back to programs that gave me so much”.

Since then, there have been more coaches and players joining. Matt Williams estimates about 100 active players and 5 coaches. According to eastaquatics.com, he is still going to college at Orange Coast College. He loves coaching at Esperanza because, “I enjoy encouraging athletes to be the best version of themselves and learning how to compete with their teammates while still being friends away from the pool deck. Everyday is a new opportunity to teach and become better.”

He encourages children to join his program saying “Esperanza water polo and swim makes champions. It’s a program that makes you work everyday to the best you can be. Esperanza carries a tradition of excellence and pride.”
