The Cyrcle Phone 2.0

Our daily lives are shaped by our phones. Who we are is shaped by how much time we spend with our technology. “Our phones represent our mobility, inventiveness, and compassion.” stated by CEO and founder Christiana Cyr.

Most phones have the shape of a rectangle, but that changes today with this Kickstarter product. The Cyrcle Phone 2.0 is designed to stand out, with a specially crafted circular shape and screen to fit and mold into your hands. You may enjoy movies and music with your friends thanks to the dual headphone jacks located on it.

Although the Cyrcle Phone 2.0 has an odd shape, the functionality of a regular phone is the same. There is a freeform mode to resize, move, or enlarge any application. The Cyrcle Phone operates on Android 10 with 4G and uses a USB Type-C cable.

Additionally, The Cyrcle Phone 2.0 is an open-source phone that you may customize to your liking. You can also 3D print the case for your phone for even more personalization. You can customize the case by removing and adding elements to make it fit your hands even better. The options are limitless.

In an interview with the Matador Messenger, Christina Cyr, the CEO of the Cyrcle Phone 2.0, she stated some challenges of creating the phone. Getting the opportunity to start the Cyrcle Phone was challenging. Publishing something completely new and different into the market is expensive, and requires funding. It took two years to locate a round display and obtain other supplies to fit into a small circular enclosure. There weren’t enough durable and small materials in the supply chain, and advertising the oddly shaped phone was difficult due to advertising restrictions.
