Even though sunscreen can significantly reduce your chances of getting cancer, over a million cases of skin cancer are diagnosed per year. Unfortunately, most people apply 25% to 50% of the sunscreen they should. So how do you know if you have applied enough sunscreen, well that’s where Sunscreenr comes in, reported gizmag.com

Sunscreenr is a sand and waterproof camera fitted with a UV-filter that lets you see exactly where the sunscreen is. It is only 3 oz and one charge can be used throughout the entire weekend. Sunscreenr even comes with a selfie-port so you can turn the lens on yourself and watch the playback to make sure you’re covered, stated petapixel.com

Sunscreenr was created by Dave Cohen, a biochemist/entrepreneur with a family history of skin cancer. He designed it because he has watched family members struggle with skin cancer and wanted to create a better way to protect his children and himself from sun damage. It took almost 2 years for him to build the right team who could turn the idea into reality. After several prototypes, he is now launching Sunscreenr to bring the idea to others, added kickstarter.com

Sunscreen-protected skin appears dark, and if the spots appear light are more vulnerable to sunburns, sunspots and other forms of sun damage. It’s easy to tell if there are spots you’ve missed or if the sunscreen has worn off your skin even after sweating, swimming, or toweling off, explained digitaltrends.com

“The reaction towards my product has been extremely positive in the last couple months. Many people and publications are enabling the campaign to be very successful,” stated David Cohen in an interview with the Matador Messenger.
