Disneyland ‘Star Wars’ Land to Break Ground in April



The Walt Disney Co. announced that they will begin to build the new Star Wars Land next month at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, according to ocregister.com.

“Since the closing of several attractions at Disneyland to make room for the new land in January. Construction vehicles have been spotted clearing out the backstage areas and parts of Rivers of America,” ocregister.com. reported.

CEO Bob Iger announced this a week ago during the company’s meeting. He said that this will be the biggest expansion of Disneyland in decades. Also, the new Star Wars Land will be 14 acres and will have two attractions, including a ride that lets visitors pilot the ‘Millennuim Falcon,’ the spaceship flown by Han Solo in the movies, according to latimes.com.
