Mighty No.9 is approaching all platforms Between Spring and Summer 2016

“Mighty No 9 The side scrolling shooter Mighty No.9, is coming out on platforms including Microsoft, Windows OS X, Linux, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation Vita  and Nintendo 3DS The release date isn’t final, but we do know that it will come out in the second quarter of the business year (between spring and summer of 2016).” stated Blasting News

“Mighty No. 9 is focused on 2D platforming, with a blend of 2D and 3D backgrounds and animation. Players control a robot named Beck, who is able to run, jump, and shoot projectiles at enemies he confronts. The player will be able to obtain both weapons and abilities from enemies they defeat (much like Kirby who can take abilities from enemies). The game will feature an intro level followed by the eight main stages, which are freely chosen in any order by the player.” according to the official Mighty No. 9 website

“At the end of each stage, Beck must face one of the other eight “Mighty” units in a boss battle” States the official Mighty No. 9 website. “A final set of stages are unlocked at the end of the game, leading up to the final showdown. An additional level starring Beck’s partner, Call, is also available at some point.” stated Kickstarter

  “Mighty No. 9 is the spiritual successor to Mega Man from one of the game’s original artists, Keiji Inafune. After Inafune left Capcom, he took the idea for a Mega Man-style platformer to the crowdfunding site Kickstarter and was able to raise $3.85 million with that campaign.
