Boy Asks Judge To Keep Mom in Prison

“I seen her stab my dad clean through the heart,” stated Braedyn Smith, a four year old
from Franklin, Ohio, who saw his mother take a knife and stab his dad in the heart and tossed the knife in the sink during an argument on January 29,2009, according to msn.com.
The argument between Shannon Smith and Robert Takach got heated when they started pushing and shoving each other. Then Shannon took a knife and stabbed Robert with it. When the judges asked Bradyn, now 10, whether to let his mom stay in prison, he pleaded, “Life for me would be 10 times better if mom didn’t kill my dad because that took a big amount of happiness out of mine and my sister’s life.” according to iv.com.
After a thorough investigation the police came with the real results and the police stated “ as both parents were fighting Shannon decided to take a knife and swung it to hit Robert’s arm but missed and hit in the chest,” according to washingtonpost.com.
Shannon was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but she was given an early release so she could take care of her children. The judges set December 2016 as Smith’s release date and then she will be on house arrest for the first year, and for two years on probation, stated washingtonpost.com.

Well that is disturbing, aimed for the arm she said, but the kid said it was clean in the chest, did she really simply miss, this is murder, she should be sentenced 65 years of imprisonment for manslaughter.

I am very disappointed that someone resorted to murder over an argument. Nothing should happen like that. I hope that Braedyn Smith and his sister are okay. I hope that they will be properly raised and not turn into criminals because of this event.
