After a “decade long sleep”, the Star Wars series is reemerging with a new movie, The Force Awakens, premiering December 18, according to Cinema Blend.The movie was shot in places like the Abu Desert. With most of the filming was being shot in Pinewood Studios in England.
The movie, directed by J.J. Adams will be about 2 hours and 22 minutes, according to StarWars.com.
Returning will be Mark Hill as Luke Skywalker and Harrison Ford returns as Hans Solo. Star Wars newest Sith, Kylo Ren is played by Adam Driver. Also, Oscar Isaac who has appeared in other movies such as X-Men Apocalypse, is playing as Poe Dameron, according to StarWars.com
AMC Theaters will also be providing Star Wars Sundays, each Sunday, starting from December 20, to January 10, guests who purchase tickets to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens in IMAX 3D will receive an exclusive AMC Star Wars print from artist Dan Mumford. A new poster will be revealed each week, reported AMC Theaters.com
Also, according to USA Today , Disney bought Star Wars for $4 billion, adding the legendary Star Wars franchise to the entertainment giant’s stable of characters. Lucasfilm is 100% owned by founder George Lucas.The purchase culminates a one and a half year pursuit of the Lucas empire, Disney’s CEO said as reported by USA Today.
