The White House Correspondents’ Association dinner was on Saturday, April 25, 2015, on C-SPAN. Cecily Strong was the host, but President Obama stole the show with his ‘anger translator,’ Luther, played by Keegan-Michael Key reported cnn.com.

The T.V. show Key and Peele has a popular sketch where Jordan Peele plays Obama and Keegan-Michael Key plays Luther, his ‘anger translator’. In the sketch by Key and Peele, they portray Obama and a cool headed politician, and Luther as a hot headed translator who takes Obama’s words and turns them angry, stated washingtonpost.com.

More than 2,000 White House journalists and their celebrity guests came for the occasion, according to cnn.com. The press was surprised as Key came on to the stage, and caused everyone to laugh, reported nydailynews.com.

Strong ended the night with the Weekend Update touching on topics from police brutality to women’s rights, reported mtv.com.
