PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, to build rapport and discuss issues that are on your mind,” stated Lynnette Currier the BYMS PTA  President of the years 2019-2020.

The BYMS PTA hosts some events for the school including the monthly dine out on the first Thursday of every month. “We will also be sponsoring the eighth grade promotion party at the end of the year at date is still to be determined,” stated Lynne Netty, a BYMS PTA board member. The future dine outs for the year of 2019 – 2020 are as follows.

Oct 3rd, Panda Express 4pm – 11pm

Nov 7th Café Rio 10:30am – 10pm

Dec 5th Apola 3:30pm – 9:30pm

Jan 9th Rubio’s 3pm – 9pm

Feb 6th Panera Bread 4pm – 8pm

Mar 5th Blaze Pizza 3pm – 10pm

April 2nd Chick-fil-A 5pm -8pm

May 7th Corner Bakery 7am – 9pm

June 4th Knowlwood Restaurant 3pm – 9pm

A parent can join the PTA  ten dollars a month. There are currently no available spots for a  BYMS PTA board members and their positions are as follows.

President – Lynnette Currier

1st Vice President – Mika Sernaque

2nd Vice President- Erin Nesbihal

Secretary – Kindra Dimitriadis

Treasurer – Anna Ready

Auditor – Heather Schaper

Parliamentarian – Lynne Netty

Historian – Lysa Pecoy

 The PTA meets monthly to discuss issues and questions that parents have. If a parent would like to know when they meet they can go to the BYMS website. A parent can join the PTA by Totem, the national online membership program. Parents can also contact Lynnette the PTA president at PTABYMS@gmail.com if a parent would like to join the PTA.

One of the many activities that the BYMS PTA sponsors is the Reflections competition. “The National PTA Reflections Program is an arts recognition and achievement program for students. The Reflections Program provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme, while increasing community awareness on the importance of the arts in education.” stated Lynne Netty a BYMS PTA board member.
