BYMS PTA Sponsors 8th Grade Promotion Party

BYMS PTA is sponsoring “Beach Bash,” a promotion party for eighth graders, to be held on Friday, June 8th, from 6 pm to 9 pm at BYMS. Students can start arriving at 5:30 with their school ID for check in.

According to BYMS.org, activities at the event include: a DJ, a photo booth, a game truck, temporary tattoos, laser tag, hawaiian dancers, Oahu Shaved Ice, a taco bar, and snacks. This is all free for students who purchased a ticket, so students do not need to bring any extra money.

Tickets costed $30, but after March 16th, tickets went up to $40. Students can either put the money in an envelope with their name, or turn in a check to the office.

Parents can also volunteer to help decorate or unpack for the Beach Bash. The dress code is the same as if you were going to school.

Antoinette Luzzi, who is one of the parents in charge of the party, said in an interview with The Matador Messenger, “…there is a lot to be excited about…The Game Truck and Laser tag will be fun, there will be a sign up for the laser tag and we will write the time slot you sign up for on your wristband so you know when to come back- so that way you don’t have to wait in line. You just show up at your reserved time. The laser tag will be in the multipurpose room.”

Mrs. Luzzi added that there will be various raffles that every student who bought a ticket will be entered in. Money was collected through donations from local businesses.
