Anyone looking to participate in sports or sports camps in high school needs to go through a spring physical. Spring physicals are basically thorough check ups. Some of the things they look into are chronic illnesses, use of special equipment, etc.
There are two options for completion. One of them is going to your high school website and printing out their form. You can then go to your local doctor and have them fill out the form themselves (form).
The second option is to attend the Spring Physical Day at Yorba Linda High School. This is where local doctors come and volunteer their time to check you out. It is hosted at the YLHS gym, and works for both Esperanza and Yorba Linda students.
It will be held on May 23rd, from 4 to 7pm. It costs $30 and all proceeds go toward their sports trainer and renovating the EHS gym. Along with the regular check up, cardiac screenings will also be available.
To learn more about cardiac screenings, go to Heartfelt Cardiac Projects. To find out more about the physical, go to Esperanza’s website.
