Independent Study P.E : Britton Moore

“The hardest part about being a dancer  is long nights from being at the studio 3-9 p.m., lots of homework when I come back, and staying up late,” said Britton Moore, a BYMS seventh grader who loves dance in an interview with The Matador Messenger.

Britton, who has been a compititve dancer doing dance since the age of six, participates in the elite and advanced level at K2 studios.

“I practice about 27 hours a week, but that can vary sometimes,” Britton stated. “Dance can be a very physically challenging sport, requiring many hours of practice a week.”

Britton performs at the advanced/elite level. “I have been advancing to revolution, showbiz, hall of fame, spotlight, and jump.”

When asked what the most gratifying part of being a student and a serious athlete, she said, “Although, this is a very hard sport, I am very thankful to be able to participate in something that I love. ”
