Interested in researching and writing about topics of your choice, interviewing experts, and taking pictures of events occurring on campus? Then become a reporter for the BYMS Matador Messenger, which attracts over 7,000 readers a month worldwide? Please pick up a form from the office, fill it out, and return it to Mrs. Perez in room 302.

The students of the Matador Messenger read and write about topics of their choice, interview experts, and take pictures about those topics. Since students are writing about topics of their interest, and because their writing skills increase, getting an A is no struggle.

On Fridays, one student per week brings snacks for the rest of the class. Each student will get their turn to bring in a snack. Additionally, if the whole class publishes an article before a Friday, we will go out to the blacktop or play board games on that Friday.

One thing that is unique about Newspaper is “It’s fun, but you also learn a lot. It is a challenging class but gets easier if you are doing what you are supposed to,” stated tech editor Sophia Arnold.

S.T.E.M. Editor Kabir Singh supports her claim by saying “It is not something that you can just pick up and do. It can take time, but it pays off when it gets published.”

“You can publish 2 or 3 articles a week… as long as you work hard enough,” stated reporter Ethan Brocki.
