The BYMS Color guard team had their first classification show on Saturday, February fourth, at Bellflower High School, “I feel very nervous, but isn’t that the fun of it?” reported Laurana Tetzlaff, BYMS color guard member,  in an interview with the Matador Messenger.

Tickets were $10 per person. The competition started at 10:00, and ended at 11:30. At 12:00, the high schools competed.

In addition to BYMS, the teams competing include Travis Ranch Middle School, Tuffree Middle School, and Kraemer Middle School, according to wgasc.org

Each team will be judged on appearance, effort, and quality. They will be put into one of the three levels, Regional AAA, Regional AA, and Regional A, Regional AAA being the lowest and Regional A being the highest.

“I think we did great, can’t wait to see you guys at practice,” reported Anita Wu, assistant Coach for the BYMS team, in an interview with the Matador Messenger.
