BYMS leadership is sponsoring a Hollywood themed talent show to be held on March 9, during a double assembly at 2:30 and an evening show at 6:30.

The show will include 12 total acts with 17 actual performers.

In an interview with the Matador Messenger, Leadership teacher, Mr. Kish stated, “Since the auditions are over, I suggest a plan and then practice. This upcoming show is not a competition, it’s simply just a show. The talent show will be including any true acts of talent including singing, instrumental, dancing, etc.”

Two of the participants, Heba Kharouf and Carlos Delgado will perform “Little Things” by One Direction for their audition.

Delgado stated, “The most challenging part is memorizing it because sometimes I would forget the lyrics to the song. His favorite part was getting through the song and not messing up too much.”

Heba’s favorite part overall was when they came together and sang as a duet. “The most challenging part for her was trying to sing loud enough and also having such a small audience of only my friends watching and that made it very nerve racking,” stated Heba Kharouf.

Another student that tried out was Matthew Yee. Yee performed Vivaldi’s Four Seasons: Winter (First Movement). “The most challenging part was having to perform in front of my peers because I am always nervous when I’m on stage in front of people.” Yee’s favorite part was listening and waiting for other performers auditions.
